Me

“I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say.
-Flannery O'Connor

O'Connor's personal observation about writing has stuck with me since I first came across it. "Yes! That's my problem!" Well, I've been writing personal observations since I was ten years old, and when I look back at some of the things I've written, I can't help but think, "Oh my goodness, this is so cringy and terrible!" It took me only a few years to realize that cringy and terrible writing is but the natural product of a cringy and terrible person. Welp. Thankfully for you, reader, I've improved somewhat. But bad prose or not, writing is helpful and critical for thinking, and as a result, writing is critical to being. So you're welcome to read (and think!) along with me here.

About Me

I'm a California native with a passion for living the "examined life" using synthesis and triperspectivalism. Vocationally, I'm a school teacher and part-time editor and columnist. But my worldview and imagination has been captured by the ancient Christian witness of Jesus Christ.
